De-merits Of 512MB Of RAM On A Mobile (android)

Android is not a mobile, its an OS,which is why many manufacturers have their own handset and install android on it.We all know that Android OS is a POWER and DATA hungry OS, but also its MEMORY hungry,be it the ROM(a single app/game could eat up half of the internal memory) or the RAM (which is needed to keep apps/games running in the background). Take for example
A person with 512MB of RAM in mobile will say - "Android Sucks!! my phone hangs, my apps shuts down by its self,my games crashes automatically etc..."
Another person with 2GB RAM will say - "Android Rocks!! Its so fast"performed 5 tasks at once seamlessly with ease.

Most of the limitations of having 512mb of RAM comes down to being unable to download apps that require 1GB of RAM, however most of these are intensive games, like Asphalt 7,as such needs at least 1GB RAM to run smoothly. A phone coming with a dual core processor helps it to run smoothly, the 512 MB RAM means that there will be only 360 to 390 MB of free RAM available for the user to utilize in an Android phone.
So it does not make a difference whether you have a 512 MB RAM or 1 GB RAM, but once you try to run heavy applications or multitask beyond the phone's limits, then you are likely to experience lag in the user interface and requires you to close a few applications or tasks in order to free memory and get the phone to be zippy again.
Another disadvantage is that most Android phones that have 512 MB RAM cannot be upgraded to the latest Android. Also mobiles that have Quad-core processors with 512MB is like you giving a Fast-Sprinter very shory legs to run with, as such makes the phone to use extra power to perform, thereby draining the battery quick.

Feel free to contribute too.
