Only the dead don't dream dreams, dreams could be caused by many things and most times they are for guidance ,warnings etc. Those who are spiritually inclined don't joke with dreams. Some are blessed with the gift of unfailing and direct dreams, some, indirect while some are blessed with their interpretations. The loving God loves to guide and warn His children concerning future occurrences, unfortunately we get so busy in life such that we hardly hear or listen when He speaks.
However, when we are 'gentle' at night, we receive instructions/messages which we are expected to act on/upon. It is however not a good omen to dream and forget when you wake up, you need deliverance ASAP.
Considering the calibre of gifted men/women of God on this forum, I hereby throw this thread open for contributions in sharing and interpreting dreams as the spirit directs. Thanks.
Below are some dreams and their interpretations.
1. Eating in the dream - spiritual attacks.(diseases, illness, barreness - e. g, through fibroid etc)
2. Swimming in the dream.
-water actually means trouble -a retrogressive encounter.
3. Picking snails.
- such person should pray against delay in future endeavours
Kindly add yours for people's liberation.
A problem shared is half solved.
Eating in the dream: Our state of mind might influence this kind of dream, but more often than not, it is a spiritual attack against our destiny. Eating in the dream is a device of the devil used to bring people into bondage. When we eat in the dream, our spirit man becomes polluted because what we are being fed with is nothing but poison. If God could open your eyes to see the true nature of that amala, jollof rice, dried or fresh fish, meat, boiled egg, poundo/eba and okro/egusi/ogbono soup, beans and yam you have been consuming with relish in the dream, you will cry to the heavenlies for deliverance. The so-called food could consist of live worms, maggots, blood, sand/dirt and some other mysterious objects. The enemy disguises it to look like real food because they know that if we are to see it in it's true form, we will reject it.
If you dream of drinking blood and eating human flesh, then beloved, you are in very serious need of deliverance grin grin grin
Sickness, diseases, satanic initiations, stagnation/backwardness, evil convenant activators/strengtheners can be planted through dream food. I know of cases where certain diseases like fibroid and goitre cropped up shortly after the fellow ate in the dream. For some, it is hindrances and blockages. An old coursemate of mine confided in me that one night, shortly after he graduated from secondary school, he dreamt that he ate a full chicken, raw with blood, guts and all. After eating, he stepped down with water from a toilet. Yep, the dude slurped down that toilet water in mouthfuls. Nasty. sad. After that dream, the heavens over his life became brass, the earth beneath his feet, iron. His whole life became a mess. After years of disappointment and profitless labour, he joined a deliverance ministry where he had to undergo deliverance for two consecutive weeks before his destiny was restored.
Eating in the dream can also open the door for satanic invasion. Closer home, my cousin was been plagued by a demonic spirit husband. She said that whenever she prayed really hard, the spirit went on casual leave and she would have some peace, but the moment she eats in the dream, the spirit would come back in full force to harass her .
Whenever we eat in the dream, we should immediately get up, pray and fast to nullify that satanic poison being projected into us. Jesus Christ came to set us free and he who the Lord sets free, is truly free indeed .

POLITICS - Jonathan encourages corruption in Nigeria, Speaker Tambuwal says
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, has stated that President Goodluck Jonathan is encouraging corruption in Nigeria by his handling of corruption cases.
“The President’s body language’ seems to be encouraging corrupt practices in the country,” the speaker said.
Mr. Tambuwal said the executive arm, headed by Mr. Jonathan, has failed to act on corruption cases revealed by the National Assembly.
He spoke while responding to questions on Monday after he presented a paper titled the ‘role of the legislature in the fight against corruption in Nigeria’ at a one day roundtable to mark the international anti-corruption day organised by the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, in Abuja.
“Take the subsidy probe, the pension, the SEC probe and recently the bullet proof car cases. After the House of Representatives did a diligent job by probing and exposing the cases, you now see something else when it comes to prosecution.
“In some cases, you have the government setting up new committees to duplicate the job already done by the parliament. Take the bullet proof cars case, the NSA, with all the security challenges confronting the country, should not be burdened with a job that can best be handled by the anti-corruption agencies,” he said.
He also said the government has no business setting up any administrative committee in a corruption case that is clear to all Nigerians, in apparent reference to the committee set up by Mr. Jonathan to probe the N255 million car scandal involving the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah. The three-man presidential committee had since submitted its report to Mr. Jonathan, with the president taking no action.
“What the President should have done was to explicitly direct the EFCC to probe the matter. With such directives coming from the President, I am sure we still have good people in EFCC who can do a good job,” Mr. Tambuwal said.
“By the action of setting up different committees for straightforward cases, the president’s body language doesn’t tend to support the fight against corruption.”
While lamenting what he described as the selective nature of prosecution of cases by the anti-corruption agencies, Mr. Tambuwal pledged the support of the national Assembly in the fight against corruption.
Below is the excerpt of the speech he earlier read at the event.
THE ROLE OF THE LEGISLATURE AS THE VANGUARD FOR ANTI CORRUPTION CRUSADE IN NIGERIA: BEING TEXT OF THE SPEECH BY RT HON AMINU WAZIRI TAMBUWAL CFR, SPEAKER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AS GUEST SPEAKER AT THE 2013 INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY ORGANIZED BY THE NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION (NBA) ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMITTEE – 9TH DECEMBER 2013, SHERATON HOTEL & TOWERS, ABUJA
PROTOCOL:
1. I should like to start by expressing my sincere appreciation to the Anti-corruption committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for assigning me the role of Guest Speaker at this auspicious occasion of the 2013 International Anti-corruption day observance.
2. The subject matter, corruption, is so vast that to attempt to address it generally will take ages. Accordingly, therefore, I have decided to restrict my discussion today to “the role of the legislature as the vanguard for anti corruption crusade in Nigeria”
3. As a phenomenon, corruption is so notorious that it does not require introduction at an occasion or definition in a discussion such as this. The mere fact that corruption has been able to secure a whole day globally set aside for the observance of the prosecution of war against it confirms it’s notoriety beyond doubt. It also establishes the fact that corruption is a global citizen.
4. Nonetheless, for purposes of refreshing our memories, corruption refers to dishonest or illegal behaviour or conduct especially by powerful people. It is the impairment of integrity, virtue or moral principle and a departure from what is pure and correct.
5. Even though the tendency has been to talk of corruption more with reference to persons in position of governmental or managerial authorities, in reality corruption permeates all segments of society and indeed all societies since government and authorities are products of societies. It must be admitted though, that the level of prevalence differs from society to society.
6. For us in Nigeria, the reality that no greater challenge than corruption confronts us as a people is not in controversy. Indeed if the roots of the overwhelming majority of our woes were traced, they are sure to terminate at the doorsteps of corruption. This is a commonplace fact known to all Nigerians and requiring no corroboration. Yet for the avoidance of doubt, it is important to state that in its 2012 Global Corruption Perception Index (CPI) by the global corruption watchdog, Transparency International ranks Nigeria as the 36th most corrupt country globally! Nigeria placed 139th of the 176 countries assessed scoring 27% in contrast with the least corrupt countries; Denmark, Finland and New Zealand which scored 90%.
7. A survey of the social media showed that 98% of Nigerians who commented not only agreed with the country’s corruption ranking but in fact felt Transparency International was too generous to Nigeria. A few of the comments read: “We don’t need a report to tell us what we already know” another “Wow, I taught (sic) we were No.1, I wonder what country (SIC) are before us. We all need prayers and serious fasting for our nation”. The other “to be fair, I always thought Nigeria is the most corrupt country in the world” yet another “Me too… 35th is actually being nice”.
8. A list of manifestation of corruption especially in the public sector of Nigeria is legion ranging from direct diversion of public funds to private pockets, contract over-pricing, bribery, impunity, nepotism, general financial recklessness, fraudulent borrowing and debt management, public assets striping, electoral fraud, shielding of corrupt public officers among others.
9. It is a well established fact that corruption thrives well in any environment or society where there is community indifference or lack of enforcement policies. Societies with a culture of ritualized gift giving where the line between acceptable and non-acceptable gifts is often hard to draw. Societies in which values have been overthrown by materialism, societies in which laws are observed more in the breach.
10. It would appear that these environmental preconditions are all prevalent in the Nigerian society and no wonder therefore that corruption has found fertile soil to blossom.
11. As noted earlier, corruption is Nigeria’s greatest problem and a cancerous impediment to any development effort planned or envisaged. It follows then that if Nigeria is to witness true development, then corruption must be dealt with decisively and comprehensively. It is a duty requiring will, zeal and passion on the part of the three arms of government and indeed the entire citizenry.
The Role Of The Legislature.
12. The legislature plays three basic functions in a democracy, to wit Legislation, Representation and Oversight. It is within this scope of authority that the legislature can and indeed does impact on governance and can thus participate in the prosecution of the war against corruption in Nigeria .
13. Under the legislative function, Section 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 provides to the effect that the National Assembly shall have the power to make laws for peace, order and good government of the country. More specifically, under Section 15 (5) of the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy, it provides, “The state shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of office”. Again in Section 2 (2) (b) and (c)’ government is enjoined to harness the resources of the nation for the common good and to prevent the concentration of wealth or the means of production and exchange in the hands of few individuals or of a group.
14. The responsibility of fashioning the legal framework for the fight against corruption and corrupt practices is thereby vested in the legislature.
15. In the exercise of this mandate, the National Assembly has enacted, the Code of Conduct Bureau and Code of Conduct Tribunal, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act 2002 and The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission Act 2000′ for the purpose of investigating and prosecuting Public Officers and other persons suspected of involvement in corrupt practices. In both legislation, the Commissions are given extensive powers of investigation and prosecution to deal with all cases of corrupt practices and abuse of office that may arise.
16. With respect to the specific objective of injecting transparency and accountability in the management of the resources of the nation, the National Assembly enacted the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007 and the Public Procurement Act 2007. Both legislations make copious provisions aimed at engendering transparency and accountability in the public space.
17. I make bold to say that if the provisions of these legislation and indeed others were diligently enforced, significant milestones would have been accomplished in the fight against corruption and corrupt practices in Nigeria. Sadly however these Legislations are observed more in the breach by the majority including government and government agencies.
18. I am pleased to report that the House of Representatives is currently working on some proposals for the reform of these laws with a view to reinforcing the independence of the agencies administering these laws including their mode of constitution and disbandment. I wish therefore to call on members of the NBA and indeed all Nigerians to prepare to buy into these reforms by making their inputs now or when the time comes for Public Hearings.
19. One other area which has been of great concern is the culture of undue secrecy that surrounded the operation of government. Whereas our Constitution enjoins in its Section 14 (2) (c) that ” the participation of the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution” government business tended to be run like secret societies to the exclusion of the citizenry. It was clear that this tended and was indeed intended to aid the concealment of corruption such that even in times of suspicion, members of the public including gentlemen of the fourth realm could not access public information.
20. The National Assembly has passed the Freedom of Information Act 2011 to enhance the right of access to public records and information about public institutions. This is one Legislation that attracted massive public interest and it is my expectation that Nigerians will make maximum use of the right created under this legislation in order to defeat the culture of undue secrecy in the running of government business.
21. The other function of the legislature is oversight of the other arms of government. Section 88 mandates the National Assembly to investigate the conduct of affairs of any person, authority, ministry or government department charged or intended to be charged with the duty of or responsibility for
i) Executing or administering laws enacted by the National Assembly or
ii) Disbursing or administering moneys appropriated or to be appropriated by the National Assembly
The main object of investigation according to sub section 2 (a) and (b) of Section 88 is for law reform and to expose corruption, inefficiency or waste in the execution or administration of laws or administration or disbursement of public funds. Similar provision is made in Section 128 of the constitution for legislatures at the sub-national levels.
22. Another critical role of the Legislature is the provision of adequate funding for Anti Corruption Agencies through appropriation. Unfortunately efforts to exercise this function by the legislature is often misconstrued by the executive arm and even some members of the public. Yet without adequate funding the anti corruption agencies cannot execute their functions satisfactorily. I wish to call on the other arms of government and indeed the general public to corroborate with us in the exercise of this mandate .
23.It is in exercise of this mandate that the House of Representatives and indeed the National Assembly has been carrying out oversight of government agencies and series of investigations or probes over allegations of corruption and corrupt practices. As you are all aware, the legislature has over the years exposed several cases of corruption.
24. It is important for me to stress once again at this stage that the mandate of the legislature is to expose corruption. It does not have further mandate to prosecute. That mandate of prosecution lies with the Executive and Judiciary. I have heard public comments to the effect that the public is tired of investigation by the legislature since the people indicted in their findings are never prosecuted and sanctioned.
25. Let me reiterate that the Legislature will not abdicate its responsibilities on the account of inaction or negligence of another arm of government. If nothing else we will at least continue to name and shame. As noted earlier, the war against corruption is the responsibility of all and I call on the citizens of this great nation to rise in the exercise of their constitutional power to insist on the prosecution and sanctioning of persons indicted by the Legislature or by any agency whether public or private concerned in the fight against corruption.
26. In the exercise of the mandate of oversight the legislature is able to audit both pre and post expenditure of agencies of government and to give appropriate direction on the administration and disbursement of funds and execution of programs and projects under the Appropriation Act. Indeed the Public Accounts Committee of both the House and Senate has the specific mandate to review the disbursement and administration of public funds by ministries, Departments and Agencies.
27. As representatives of the people, Legislators will continue to be for all Nigerians their eyes to see, ears to hear and mouth to speak out against corruption anywhere and at anytime it rears its ugly head.
28. The task may appear daunting but I wish to assure that wit will, zeal, passion and determination we shall eventually overcome this hydra headed dragon. Only let us be single minded that it’s a task that must be done in order to preserve the country for posterity.
Thank you all for your attention and God bless Nigeria.

'Smart Bra' By Microsoft To Stop Women From Stress-related Overeating - Science/Technology
While Google, Samsung, and Apple are busy with smartphones, smartwatches, and smartglasses, Microsoft has been working on bringing artificial intelligence to a wearable device that's a little bit more intimate - a new 'smart' bra for women!
The giant tech company has developed a smart-bra that its researchers say is used to help prevent women from over-eating when stressed.
The hi-tech bra measures the wearer’s heart rate and breathing and alerts them when their stress levels are rising by sending a Bluetooth alert to their smartphone.
Senior Microsoft researcher Mary Czerwinski hopes the bra will make women think twice before opening the fridge.
‘It’s mostly women who are emotional over-eaters and it turns out a bra is perfect for measuring the heart,’ she told Discovery News.
‘We tried to do the same thing for men’s underwear but it was too far away.’
Reaction to the bra on Twitter ranged from amusement to annoyance.Microsoft develops ‘smart’ bra
"Anyone else offended that Microsoft is devoting its tech research to a bra designed to prevent women from overeating?" tweeted a Seattle woman whose Twitter handle is @cunningminx.
Added Rachel Happe of Boston, "If nothing else convinces you we need more women in tech, this should. No, I don't want someone hacking my bra..."

know how To Create A Wireless Hotspot On A Computer - Computers
This will show you how to easily create wireless hotspot on your computer to share internet with other computers, iPhones, iPads, Android and even use it to PING on Blackberry without BIS etc by creating a wireless hotspot on your computer. Now people own many devices which are nothing without internet connections and subscribing to them all is not economical.
Personally I didn’t know Blackberry devices can ping without BIS before now but yes, I do ping on my blackberry 9930 using wireless connection from my computer see picture below for proof. The number of devices that can be connected is unlimited also, so you can connect your friend’s laptops, connect your iPhone, iPad, Androids all sharing the same internet.
Trust me they are many software that can achieve this, most of them are not free like the popular Connectify but this method by using Virtual Router Manager is the easiest I have come across and is totally free.
1. Download Virtual Router Manager from here http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/releases/view/58218 just 1.3MB
2. Install it on your Windows Computer
3. Open the Virtual Router Manager and type in a Network Name (SSID) , also type in a password, (note it must be up to 8 characters), select the internet connection you want to share
4. Now click start Virtual Router Manger
5. Now you can turn-on wireless on your devices and you will see the network name, connect to it with the password you have created and you will have internet access from the computer.
If when you clicked start Virtual Router Manager you get a message that says “group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation” then all you have to do is on your start menu search CMD and right-click on it and run as administrator when a DOS environment comes up just type in this “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow” without the quote and hit enter, now it should work fine.

WOW! PDP Won't Miss Amaechi, Wammako, Others.- Tukur
The Peoples Democratic Party has said it will not miss any of the seven
rebel governors, especially five of them who defected to the All
Progressives Congress.
The party therefore asked President Goodluck Jonathan not to entertain any fear concerning the party’s future.
The National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, said this in Abuja on Tuesday when the executive members of the Sokoto State chapter of the party paid him and members of the PDP National Working Committee a courtesy visit at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
There were seven aggrieved governors in the PDP, out of which five had defected to the APC.
The seven governors are Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara); Aliyu Wammako (Sokoto); Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Murtala Nyako (Adamawa); and Rabiu Kwankwanso (Kano).
Aliyu and Lamido are yet to defect from the ruling party.
Tukur, who was outside the country when the governors defected had earlier said he was shocked with their defection, but had also said he would not stop anyone from leaving the party.
But while speaking on Monday, Tukur advised President Jonathan not to entertain any fear, saying that Sokoto State chapter of the party was solidly behind him.
He said he was sure that the defecting rebel governors would come back to the PDP.
Tukur said, “Goodluck Jonathan, no fear. Sokoto is behind you. When the Caliphate is behind you, believe me no fear. No fear, no shaking, PDP is our party, it’s a party of choice.
“People can defect, it’s their right, but soon they will found out that it is not cool in the place they are going. They will soon come to the embrace of the PDP.
“Sometimes when people have eaten and are satisfied, you know what they will do? They will tell themselves let’s try another place to see whether there is a better food.
“We experienced it before, it’s not new. Many of them left PDP before, it’s not new, but my advice is that people should not forget that no matter what they do, if they want to sit, they should learn to sit on their bottom.
“They know that there is no other way, PDP is the party, if they go… they have done so before and we saw them coming back.
“If they believe they want to go they will not be missed, we cannot miss them. They enter a wrong party and when they take the wrong party, they will end up in wrong places.”
He said he was sure that the party remained inclusive and promised his guests that the party would accord everyone of them respect.
In his speech, the leader of the delegation, who was a former Minister of Communications, Alhaji Arzika Tambuwal, urged the NWC members to immediately constitute a caretaker committee to organise congresses for the election of new party executives at all levels in Sokoto State.
He said members of the party in the state had observed recent political developments in the country and what he described as the over heating of the polity.
This, he said, was created by the PDP aggrieved governors.
He said, “In the last six years, he (Wammako) victimised most loyal PDP members he met in the party, managed the party like a one man sole proprietorship, and looked upon the national party headquarters with disdain. His recent defection is therefore not surprising.”
In his reaction, the National Publicity Secretary of theNew PDP, Chief Chukwuemeka Eze, asked members of the PDP to hold Tukur responsible for the expected crashing of the ruling party.
He said, “Tukur should be held responsible if the PDP eventually sinks. Don’t forget that it was because of people like him that we abandoned the party’s sinking ship.
“President Jonathan is not helping anyone, including himself, by keeping Tukur as the national chairman of the party. Anyway, their doomsday is near.”

EFCC Press Release: Timipre Sylva’s Arraignment Stalled
The arraignment of the former Bayelsa State governor, Timipre Marlin
Sylva and six others before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja did
not go on today as earlier announced.
Sylva was to be re-arraigned following fresh evidence linking him
with a bouquet of fraudulent transactions that borders on money
laundering during his tenure as governor of Bayelsa State between 2009
and 2012.
The other accused persons are Francis Okuburo, Gbenga S. Balogun,
Samuel Ogbuku, Marlin Maritime Limited, Eat Catering Services Limited
and Haloween Blue Construction and Logistics Limited.
Though, the ex-governor was present in court, his counsel, Lateef
Fagbemi, SAN objected to his client taking a plea on the grounds that
they were not served with a hearing notice. He contended that the
provision of the law which allows for 7 days before arraignment should
be complied with.
Counsel to EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs however urged his Lordship, Justice A.R Mohammed to proceed with the arraignment since the accused persons were already in court. Besides, he added that the defence already have a proof of evidence and the amended charge. Bur Fagbemi insisted on the defence’s right to a hearing notice.
At this juncture, counsel to the 4th accused person, Ajayi Olowo informed the court that he had filed a notice of preliminary objection challenging the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the matter and asked for a short adjournment for the motion to be argued. Counsel to other defendants aligned themselves with his submission.

orally to save the time of the court and ensure speedy trial. He noted
with concern, the antics of the former governor which he claimed are
aimed at frustrating his trial and urged the court to do something in
the interest of justice.
Consequently, Justice Mohammed adjourned the case to January 23, 2013 for hearing on the notice of preliminary objection.
Sylva and the other accused persons are to be prosecuted on a 42-count amended charge.

9 Management Lessons From Atedo Peterside - Career
I
mentioned in the first part of this article that the course
Organizational Behaviour in my MBA programme has actually activated
some keenness in me about management styles of people and organizations.
I also mentioned how some chaps I admire happened to be cultivated by
Atedo Peterside, founder of the Investment Banking & Trust Company
(now part of enlarged StanbicIBTC). In this article, I explain what I
think made Atedo Peterside a success, and more importantly, how he was
able to cultivate such a generation of fine investment bankers.
Here we go: 1, Recruit the brightest: Atedo recruited the brightest brains. If you want to nurture a great organization, go for the best brains. You don't need to go far, there are many in the Unilags and Ifes of this country. 2, Catch them young: Most of them were caught young, some as young as 20 years. If you want to grow a successful organization built on brilliant human resource, go for young guys that you will be able to train well. Needless to mention that those young boys of yesterday are now DGMs, GMs and Directors. Perhaps it is only in StanbicIBTC that you will see a GM that is less than 35 years old, with 15 years experience! 3, Pay well: I don't think IBTC was the highest paying bank then, but I know the pay wasn't so bad. Like Atedo did, make your employees comfortable. 4, Give responsibility: Only Atedo can hand over a multi-billion naira enterprise to a 27-year-old. And I am not talking about a billionaire given his business to a son. No, I'm talking about employees recruited through the regular GMAT test. After training for sometime, give responsibility to your employees. Open subsidiaries, let them manage it. Try that and thank me later for revealing this Atedo management style to you. 5, Lead by example: I mentioned in my first article that all Atedo boys I know rank very high on integrity in business and private dealing. They must have learnt that from Atedo, it cannot be a co-incidence. Let me tell you a story. I know someone who was employed as an accountant in one company in Lagos. The first week, there was some knotty account to reconcile and advise management of some figures. His boss just did some 'wuruwuru to the answer', fancifully called 'juggling'. The guy spent his remaining years in that company juggling accounts. You are what your boss taught you. |
| Re: 9 Management Lessons From Atedo Peterside by Jarus(m): 3:12pm On Dec 03 |
6, Develop sense of ownership in your employees:
Let me narrate my personal experience. I got employment offer (after
passing their test and interviews) from IBTC in November 2006, just two
weeks after finishing university, even before my convocation. For some
personal reasons I turned it down for Vetiva Capital Management Limited
(another offer I got at the same time). Akeem wasn't happy with me for
that decision. Akeem, who was hardly a very senior management staff
then, saw IBTC as his company. Till today, one of my interviewers, now
the CEO of StanbicIBTC, used to ask of me from him. You just have to
respect these people. Everyone sees the company as collectively owned,
not Atedo's business. They were so passionate about the company. If you
want to build a great business empire, like Atedo, let your employees
see the business as their own too. And, just to add, you don't achieve
this by word of mouth, but by series of actions.
7. Build a loyal staff: I don't know how Atedo did this, but I have observed that all his employees (from the IBTC days) are so loyal to the company. More than half of them are still there, 15 years after. I guess all the earlier mentioned managerial kill account for this loyalty, because it takes such to retain such brilliant gentlemen for 15 years! 8, Rotate challenges: At his lecture in my career conference, Lloyd Onaghinon, an Atedo-trained investment banker, mentioned that he had had many careers in same institution (IBTC). From being financial controller to project finance to corporate banking to business banking. Similarly, when I asked Akeem why he had, like Messi in Barcelona (lol), had all his career in one organization for 15 years, he said the same thing: the IBTC culture is such that you are given new challenges, new career, every two or three years; from being in project finance to asset management to stockbroking to global markets to investor services etc, rhetorically asking what he needs to learn elsewhere when same institution offers fresh challenge every few years. This is one thing you must learn from Atedo. I know organizations where same person did one role for a 10 years! 9, Quit honourably: Atedo Peterside quit StanbicIBTC when the ovation was loudest. Perhaps only Fola Adeola of GTB had done that before. Don't sit tight forever. Don't soil your good records. After building a business and managing it for reasonable number of years, quit. |
Atedo's
management style is really one I am interested in studying in-depth,
and perhaps write book on. Although my study of organizational
psychology in recent time kindled my interest in executives' managerial
skills, I have actually held this opinion about Atedo Peterside for long
as a distant observer and fan, and actually debated this on some online
discussion forums far back 2009.
It should also be noted that, Atedo Peterside may be the face of IBTC and perhaps the personification of this management style, there are other people whose contribution to growing IBTC from a small investment institution in a small office in Marina in 1990, to a multi-billion dollar venture today, are also key. They are Sola David Borha and Yinka Sanni. The political analyst in me with opposition bend may share different perspectives with Atedo on political issues (after his retirement from active banking, he's been vocal on political economic issues in recent times, like the subsidy debate), but you have to give it to this man as an excellent manager of people and resources. In other climes, by now, Business School faculties would have been filled with case studies on Atedo Peterside Management philosophy. http://www.jarushub.com/9-things-to-learn-from-atedo-peterside-management-philosophy/ |

How To Get A Baby Boy Or Girl Naturally - Health
There are many people that would like to have a particular gender of a
child, Boy or Girl. Some people have only female Children but would like
a male child and some people have only male and would like a female
child.
But Based on our cultural and religious beliefs in Nigeria and Africa, many would not like anything artificial, they would like it natural.
You can actually select the sex of your child naturally.
If you would like to select the gender of your child, there are many methods you can use and using a combination of these
methods, increases your chances exponentially and make it almost guaranteed to get your desired gender, boy or girl.
It is just like saying using a male condom alone to prevent pregnancy is about 85% effective but using a male condom + Spermicide is about 99% effective.(There is no 100% contraceptive method)…well, except abstinence.

Sperm carrying a “y” chromosome unites with egg, which ALWAYS carries the “x” chromosome, to produce a boy.
What this means is that sperm that carry the “x” chromosome produce a girl, while those that carry the Y produce a boy.
Whenever you meet with your wife, you release both the “x” and the “y”. Many people believe that it is just a matter of chance which type reaches the egg first. It is not. There are many ways by which you can influence those results by yourself.
To Get Your Choice Of Baby Gender, (Boy or Girl) Do Any Of the Below Or A Combination
METHOD 1
The Shettles Method.
Many years ago, a physician called Landrum Shettles devised this method of gender selection that has reportedly worked for
thousands of couples.
The basis is that sperm that carries the “x” chromosome, needed to conceive a girl, swims slower but lives longer than sperm that carries the “y” chromosome, necessary to conceive a boy. By manipulating the timing of when you “meet” with your partner, in relation to your ovulation (egg release), the Shettles method maintains that you can encourage conception (pregnancy).
So, if you want to conceive a boy, you should “meet” with your partner as close to ovulation as possible. This would enable the faster, lighter, “y” carrying sperm to reach your egg first. If you want to conceive a girl, you should “meet” with your partner, three to five days before ovulation, and then abstain from sex. This would allow the faster but weaker ”y” male sperm to die off (the can only be alive for some days) before your egg is available, thereby leaving the path clear for the longer-lasting “x” female sperm to fertilize your egg as soon as it is available.
Also, HOW you meet with your partner can also help.
If you want a baby boy:
i. Use deep penetration and “rear entry” position which would allow the deposit of sperm very close to, or above the neck of your cervix for quicker entry into your cervix where the environment is more alkaline and easier for male sperm to survive. (Translated, it means putting the ball almost on the goal line for the sharp shooter to just tap in and score)
ii. Try and achieve heavenly feeling, at the same time as your partner. This helps to achieve a more alkaline environment that favours the “y” male sperm.
Think of male sperm as Usain Bolt- Fast but cannot last in a marathon like say, Haile Gebrselassie, the Ethiopian marathon runner.
If you want a baby girl.
i. Use shallow penetration like in “missionary” position or the likes (Use your imagination to think up shallow penetration. You didn’t think I would list them all, did you?) This means you have shifted the starting line backwards(marathon) making it very difficult for the male sperm(Usain Bolt) to reach their goal. (Little wonder People easily Conceive girl babies, when this is usually the preferred position of most people. LOL)
ii. Avoid heavenly feeling…if you can. It would keep the womanly environment acidic, which kills off most of the weaker male sperm before they reach their goal (egg).
METHOD 2
Stolkowski Method.
European Physician, Joseph Stolkowski Conducted studies wherein he correlated a mother’s pregnancy diet with the sex of her baby.
His Result: Women who ate foods rich in potassium and sodium (like meat, fish, vegetables, CHOCOLATE, and salt) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a BOY.
Also, women who consumed foods high in calcium and magnesium,( such as milk cheese, nuts, beans, and cereals) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a GIRL.
He theorized that gender can be influenced by what scientists call “ionic” factors – a type of natural electrical charge emitted by products of the earth including minerals like potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. By manipulating her diet with the addition of certain mineral-rich (ion-charged) foods, a woman could alter her ovulation metabolism and thus influence whether her eggs attract the “x” or the “y” sperm.
In the study, 39 out of 47 couples were able to produce a child of the gender they wanted, simply by manipulating their diet.
This method is already being used by a company called- ‘Smart Stork‘ (You can Google it) They have made so much money doing this for people….something you can do by yourself for free.
On their website, they wrote :”Here at Smart Stork, we have been helping couples to conceive their preferred gender babies for over 15 years. Our success rate in gender selection? Is still over 95%!”
You can visit the website to confirm.
METHOD 3
SELNAS method.
Using Dr Stolkowski’s research, European biologist, Patrick Schoun discovered that the membrane surrounding a human egg also emits ions(an atom or molecule with an electric charge) giving off a type of electric “charge” of its own. According to him,its the energy that attracts either an “x” or “y” sperm.
He also found that at certain times in a woman’s monthly cycle, her egg is electrically “charged” to attract either the ”x” or “y” sperm exclusively. He also noted a “neutral” time in the cycle when the electrical charge surrounding an egg is dependant on environmental factors, including diet. So by coordinating your most fertile time(The 6 days before ovulation with the days when your egg is attracted to either the “x” or the “y” sperm, you can plan how to meet your partner to coincide with the conception of either a boy or a girl.
The individual calculations involved in determining the correct time was too complex, so a way to enter all the necessary scientific data about the gender selection into a computer.
Things like: menstrual history, contraception use, and reproductive history along with the preference of either a boy or a girl. The SELNAS method is thus a personalized twelve-month gender selection calendar that indicates the days on which a particular egg would attract either the “x” or “y” sperm for an entire year. SELNAS yielded a success rate of 98.7 percent! The SELNAS natural gender selection technique is available in the United States for less than $400. The company that prepares the calendar(Laboratories Prokiad International) offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you don’t get the gender you desire. (This means they are pretty sure of what they are doing)
So, If you combine more than one of these methods, you should be almost guaranteed of the gender of your choice.
Before we go to the methods and how to go about them, Let us Understand a little, how the principle of conception works.
It is the sperm and not the egg that carries the genetic material (called chromosomes) that determine the sex of a child.
